As a cancer survivor, helping women look and feel beautiful has always been my mission. The Heart of the House is a place to inspire, encourage and empower others to feel confident and beautiful regardless of the challenges that arise in life. I hope to encourage others to embrace their beauty and confidence through style.
As a young girl I was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Throughout my two and a half years of cancer treatments I often struggled with self confidence. After loosing all my long brunette locks, I began to use style and beauty as a way to overcome my challenges and fears of not fitting in. Styling myself through clothes, hats, accessories, shoes and beauty products I gained back my self confidence and continue to empower myself through style and beauty today. I believe that regardless of what life challenges others may be experiencing, everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident in who they are!
I started The Heart of the House as a means of expressing that confidence should always be the foundation of your inner home. I chose to use The Heart of the House to share my personal style not because I think I’m the most fashionable, or because I have the latest and hottest trends but simply because of how I feel when putting together a look that makes me feel confident. I wanted to be able to share that “feeling” with others in hopes to encourage and inspire people to embrace their beauty and embody self confidence. I hope to spread this message to all those experiencing life threatening illnesses and beyond with the intention of empowering others to live more happy and meaningful lives. As my story continues to evolve as I navigate my purpose and intentions, everyday brings a new adventure or opportunity, which is so exciting! Thank you for following along and for your continued support!
