PLAID BIB TOP
LOCATION: DALLAS, TX • August 1, 2017
Hello August! I can’t believe how fast this summer has flown by! It seems as if we wish for summer all year long and when it finally arrives it’s gone before we know it! Although I tend to mentally be ready for fall about this time of year, the 100 degree weather gets tiring, my outfits end up being minimal to keep cool and the cravings for cool crisp fall weather seem so appealing. So as I mentally prepare for the excitement of fall I decided to start a bit early on my fall transitional pieces one of them being this simple plaid top. I love how the lace trim and bib details dress up the simple piece while still remaining casual from the plaid print. The subtle peplum hem adds a feminine touch that is always an irresistible element I’m drawn to.
Living in Texas the change from summer to fall isn’t too drastic. Although it’s not as hot and we do enjoy a nice break from triple digit weather it’s still fairly warm compared to the cool falls I grew up with in Missouri. It’s kind of nice to ease into the jackets and coats until further in the year so tranistioning can be pretty simple with a few new pieces. Along with the top shown here I also found this navy one, this lightweight sweater, this dusty rose top and this blush pink bell sleeve blouse.
